PRECISION HIGH-QUALITY
CRYOGENIC DEFLASHING SERVICE

VERSATILE, EFFICIENT, EFFECTIVE, AND FLAWLESS

Cryogenics machine with dry ice smoke and plastic components

Cryogenic deflashing is a technique employed to remove flash, mold lines, and excess material from plastic, injected moldings, silicone, and rubber components.

This Process Ensures precise, uniform finishing, and maintaining part integrity & quality.

  • Liquid nitrogen helps the part reach a low enough temperature where its substrate becomes protected. This process involves freezing the parts in liquid nitrogen, making the unwanted material brittle and easy to remove via tumbling or blasting, resulting in finished parts with precise dimensions and smooth surfaces. Once the excess flash or burrs reach a brittle state, the cryogenic deflashing machines are used to tumble and blast the part with polycarbonate or other media to remove the unwanted burrs and flash.

    • Computer-controlled for high-level consistency and accuracy

    • Non-abrasive and will not damage finishes

    • Lower cost than other plastic deflashing methods

    • Maintains part integrity and critical tolerances

    • Little to no dust or residue

    • Removes large and tiny burs and flash

    • Medical implants, surgical tools, and devices

    • O-rings and gaskets

    • Grommets and flexible boots

    • Electronic connectors, switches, and bobbins

    • Manifolds and valve blocks

    • Gears, washers, and fitting
