Arrow Finishing was founded in 1983, originally under the name Arrow Cryogenics. Over the years, Arrow expanded its capabilities to include Deflashing, Deburring, Polishing, Texturizing, Coatings, and advanced Cleaning methods for both metals and plastics. We grew from serving the Medical industry to supporting Aerospace, Defense, Automotive, Electronics, and nearly every major industry requiring high-performance surface finishing. Now operating out of a 130,000+ square foot facility in the Twin Cities, Arrow Finishing continues to lead with custom-engineered equipment, proprietary processes, and unmatched expertise in surface finishing.
In 2009, we installed our first Anodizing line. As demand grew, we expanded the department in 2014 to support higher volumes and tighter specifications. Since then, we’ve enhanced our processes and efficiencies to keep pace with growing demand—positioning the department for continued growth.
In 2017, we earned our first Nadcap Certification for Chemical Processing. We’ve maintained it through successful annual audits and ongoing compliance, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of quality.
In the fall of 2020, we installed a brand-new, state-of-the-art Electropolishing and Nitric Passivation line, significantly improving our quality, efficiency, process control, and lead times.
In early 2024, we became a certified Cerakote applicator. We are currently expanding our Cerakote capabilities with the installation of a robotic painting cell to improve consistency and throughput for high-volume projects. Additional innovations and facility enhancements are on the horizon as we continue to serve complex and critical industries.

Steve DeMotts founded Arrow Cryogenics, Inc. (now Arrow Finishing) in 1983 with a vision and a willingness to take on the work others wouldn’t. One of our first opportunities of a precision medical component, define the future of the company. Now we are proud to serve all major industries in the U.S.
Today, Arrow Finishing continues to grow under the leadership of Steve's children, carrying forward the same mindset it was built on. Years later, we’re still building on the same foundation.
